Project Scope

RDP Interiror contractors where contacted to give a supply and install solution to a severe acoustic reverberation (Echo) problem.

This was a new building in which the architect had specified a solid plasterboard ceiling, solid walls and solid floor - Thus giving the perfect area for high reverberation times.

Being a multipurpose hall which is to be hired out for all types of activities and functions, speech intelligibility was a must.

From the initial site visit, it was made clear that keeping the cost to a minimum whilst having an effective solution was the most important factor, at the same time - It needed to look like it was apart of the original design.

Using all information collected on a site visit, RDP Interior Contractors where able to calculate the area needed to be covered with our sound absorption panels.
A 3D model was created showing how the panels will be set out within the area, and how they would match in with the existing 600 x 600 LED light panels.

After our client was in reciept of all the information the contract was awarded.

The result - Once the acoustic treatment works had been completed, there was a dramatic difference, which has lead to an increase in bookings for the venue.

RDP has since been involved with further projects with the charity.

"Undertaking this project was a cost we could of done without, although undertaking this project has meant we are now in a position to promote and hire this section of the venue to various other groups and gatherings. Longterm this was a good investment and we are very pleased at how RDP have kept us upto date with the project from start to finish. Over all very pleased with the project from start to finish."
